“What does the overview mean “when used with a compatible dimmer”? I’ve never seen a smart bulb or any dimmable RGB bulb that can be dimmed externally.”

I bought 2 of these & have them setup outside under my garage awning. Both are connected to a standard on/off wall switch. I assume the "compatible dimmer" might be the dimming function in the Apple HomeKit app. In my setup, my on/off wall switch is always on... I control the lights through the Apple HomeKit app. They work great! I am able to adjust the dimmer with no issues. Hope this helps.
