• The VPNFILTER malware should not take over the router and has not with mine. But everyone should get a good virus protection also for their computer because that also protects against malware.

• it is possible because something kept on changing my admin passwords and WiFi passwords until it finally broke. i think it might be the man next door hacking my box. im ending up returning for a refund.
