Please try again later.the speed depends on what you pay your internet service for, the net gear hooks to your router which then send your internet providers connection through the air for all wireless products to hook to your internet service you already pay for, and put the code into your cell computer laptop tv whatever has a wireless capability, and walla internet all over your home and even outside as far as your netgear can send the signal, I hope this answers some of your questions,

My immediate speed was no different. I lookup up the specs on my routers and found they were 100 Mb / 801.11n at best. So my hi speed was being chocking off. The ATT router has 801.11 ac but my older devices, laptops, tablets and phone only receive up to 801.11 n. I purchased a straight forward gigabit switch (linksys with no wifi) as well as the Linksys gigabit 801.11ac wifi for the back of the house. My ATT Wifi at the front of the house, the gigabit switch in the middle (in my home office) and the linksys wifi router near the rear. I purchased gigabit adapters for all of my pc's. Now getting 500 mb down and 900 mb down from my desktop on cat 7 wire and 900 up and down on 801.11 ac.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately the speed is based on the modem and not necessarily the router. DSL is really slow in comparison to cable or Fios. This router is way overkill for a DSL circuit. The fastest DSL will go is 20 MB no matter what router you get.
