• It should, but how much speed does your modem support? The "ACXXX" convention is for really high speed internet, so keep that in mind. If you get less than 50 megs downstream from your modem, you could do well with a cheaper router, to be honest. Cal your ISP if you're not sure. While they won't suggest a specific router necessarily, they'll often suggest specs.

• Every home router has a WAN port (a.k.a. Internet port) that plugs into the Ethernet port on any modem. So yes, it'll work.
