Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Danny. The Linksys EA9500 operates on an 802.11AC Wi-Fi Standard. Basing on this standard and in a perfect network environment, it has an approximate indoor range of 70 meters and an approximate outdoor range of 250 meters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am receiving over 250 feet from the router. Now, that depends on tons of variables and whether your on the 2.5 or 5 Ghz band. Range is fantastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no predetermined distance that the router itself will go, but it does automatically adjust itself such that it will get the furthest distance it can go based on interference that is in your area. The good part is that it does go a very remarkable amount of distance and it configures really easily with Linksys Line of Range Extenders if you are needing some insane distance. My best advice is that if you have multiple stories then you should put it on the top floor and as central in your house as you can get then you can expand from there with range extenders as necessary and since this is a top tier router you don't need to worry about it becoming obsolete for quite some time. The MU-MIMO Range Extender is what I personally recommend if you cannot get it in a central location in the home.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is working in a 4200 sq ft home no problems. with good wifi speeds! it has two 5ghz channels and they balance very even for though put.. Linksys 9500
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can login to my home computer from 3 city blocks away from my home and not only that but the speed is so fast I have Nieghbors asking me if I'm on their network and I just say look at the name of the wifi connection and not only that but it's faster than their home speed. Amazing buy and you'll be happy with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on environmental factors. I have no problems with the signal throughout my house even with several walls between the router and my device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I recall the information from Linksys it states coverage of 10,000 sq. ft. Doing the math that puts it at ~56 ft max from the router. My apartment is on the second floor and I can get wi-fi in my car that is ~75-100 ft from where the router is located. I can easily walk a decent ways away from the router and still have signal, i'll be it weak.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.works for us in / outside of 2 story home
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless you own a mega-mansion with faraday cage walls, should work perfectly. In the unlikely case there was any interference issues, one could always install a "extender" for the WiFi signal, but very unlikely to be required.
