• I think you need to use wifi extender not adapter wifi extender because this item is only attached through USB .

• Hello, GeneinJersey. The Linksys RE7000 can extend Wi-Fi range up to 10,000 sq. ft. considering obstructions, and it should work fine with most of the routers.
