“I have a Linksys AC1900 Router in my two story home. I keep losing my single when I am using it. What would you suggest in order to improve my signal. I am diappointed that the AC1900 Router has not improved my signal. Please help!!!”

Call Linksys Customer Service to ask them directly. I have received excellent customer support from them, and at this time they still speak in English!! :-)

Certain areas of our house always lacked an adequate wireless signal, especially in the 5 GHz range. I recently purchased and installed an AC-1900 MAX STREAM wireless repeater that I purchased at our local Best Buy store. While it took some time working with their website to determine the best location for the repeater, I eventually found a satisfactory location in our 2nd floor bedroom that appears to provide a better wireless signal on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Since it is located on the wall that overlooks the patio outback, I have also noted improved wireless connectivity outside as well.

To improve your experience, ensure that the range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
