• Hi. Our extenders are best used with a home router or access point. Extending a public Wi-Fi network is not advisable because of possible compatibility issues.

• As long as you have access to the WiFi then you can. Just know that everyone else with the same password can also picky back off your WiFi extender.

• I choose to use this to boost my signal out to my garage from the up stairs and it does what I wanted with no more fading in and out , I know have continues streaming the way it should be.
