Please try again later.This extender only needs LoS for initial setup afterwards you may place it wherever you may need extra range as long as it can receive signal from the router. During setup it will guide you to a location for optimal performance depending on the distance and placement from the router, in my case optimal performance was achieved between 25-35ft. from the router.
