- Answer I think you need a basic Velop system with at least one node before an extender will work.

- Answer Hi, aglalwey. The Linksys WHW0101P is only compatible to use with a Velop network with a primary node, and the extender can only be used as a secondary node.

- Answer Hi, drmiagi. Your device should work fine with behind the Linksys WHW0101P as it is a dual-band extender. However, please take note that the unit will work so long as it is connected to an existing Linksys Velop network with a primary node.

- Answer use the 2 piece velop mesh system at both ends of your m house and use the one where your router is to replace the router

- Answer Hi. I have the tri band system but it should work the same for you. I have the extender in my garage. The key to this device is to have another node that it can connect to from a relative close proximity. I have one of my wired nodes in my bedroom which is about 15-20 feet from the extender in the garage. When I am in the garage, I can pick up signal from the node but it is weaker than the connection to the extender. When my phone switches and connects to the extender, the speed is amazing even when the garage door is closed. Hope this helps.

- Answer I would not replace anything with this but add it to the soft areas which is how it was intended. That's what I did and using the app it was amazing to see how many devices connected to it versus trying to get signal through beams, foundation walls, metal appliances, etc...

- Answer This is not a standalone router.... It can only work with an existing Velop mesh network. Get the other standalone version instead for the same price.
