• I just hooked up a 2TB WD portable hard drive to the USB 3.0 and it worked great, Photo's, Video's and documents all could be shared on the network.

• Hi, as for the size I don't think there is a size limit. From my experience from using other routers I have added different disk sizes ranged (1 to 500 GB) with on problem.

• The port on the rear of this router is eSATA so I do believe you can hook up any external device to it that utilizes eSATA. We currently have a 1TB connected to ours to lighten the load on our server.
