I used with an extender in the house and I get the range I need
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There extenders in my opinion are worthless. I've tried a few and didn't see any bumps worth the money. Just a few points on a speed test. Run a cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. An extender is not the way to go. Stay away from the ones you plug into outlets they don't work. TP link in my opinion is junk. I tried two different ones of theirs and wasn't any better than not having them. Did speed tests and half the tests came back actually slower. I also tried the Google one and that was just a couple points higher but not worth the few hundred dollars so I gave up. Just run a cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably try the Linksys High Gain Antennas for the WRT3200 (WRT004ANT). Its a little bit pricey but cheaper than a booster I think.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try moving the router in an open space with not as many obstructions in the way between the router and location you're trying to connect too. But if this isn't possible you could try using a Wi-Fi Range Extender to extend the reach of the signal further. They come in either a Wall Plug (with antennas sticking out from it) or a unit similar looking to a router. This is probably the easiest solution. Keep in mind that your connection speed won't be quite as high as it would be being connected to your router. However, you may also want to consider a Wi-Fi Mesh (like Netgear Orbi and Google Wifi) network depending on how much Wi-Fi coverage you need throughout the entire house. This is fairly easy to setup but much more costly. You could also try using a Wi-Fi Access Point if you can run ethernet cable through your house closer to the location you want to extend your Wi-Fi too. This is practically the same as connecting to your router but further away without sacrificing speed. Just a pain to install in your house because of the ethernet cable that needs to be connected from the router to the access point. Hope that was helpful.
