A:Answer This is a router only, not a modem. If Spectrum gave you a modem and a router separately you should be able to replace the router they gave you with this one no problem. Should be plug and play, just run a Ethernet/LAN cable from the modem to the yellow internet port on the back of this router, turn it on, connect your laptop/computer to the router with a Ethernet/LAN cable, open a browser on the computer/laptop and put 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.0 in your browser and follow the setup instructions from there.
