The same thing happened to the phone I bought my mother and I called customer service for jitterbug and even though it was a half hour phone call they were able to fix it through a number of troubleshooting steps if you get the right person on the phone they are extremely helpful and most likely will be able to fix it I also had to call back since her contact list did not carry through and they are able to remotely access the phone if you give them permission and that was also fixed
