The Urgent Response folks can call 911 (and relay the profile information stored in your loved one's account which can contain medical info, emergency contacts, and home entry information, like lockbox codes etc.) Urgent Response can also call neighbors, emergency contacts, or anyone else your loved one wants to call. My mom once had Urgent Response call me because her telephone wasn't working and she wanted to transfer a call to me via Urgent Response. Lively's staff will try to accommodate whatever request your loved one needs, not just contacting 911. They are basically trained to triage the situation and call the correct people.
