It should not affect the Lively device. It is essentially a cell phone that just calls one phone number, so if she doesn't have any problem using a cell phone in proximity to her body, then it should work fine. The allegedly have a 30-day return period, but bear in mind there may be costs associated with returns. For example, they may not return activation fees, or may try to charge you for the first month, etc. They are a bit unforgiving in this sense... and will do everything they can to retain money you have paid them.
