• Yes, you can use this device to dictate your notes orally and then play them back as an audio file on your favorite Apple device.

• The pen does not actually record, it relies on the iDevice for that. Other models of the Livescribe pen actually record on the pen though.

• It absolutely records voice, Each time you hit the stop button creates a new file, so it is not fluid between pages

• No I belive there is another model by lights ride that does. I'm just not sure which one does it. It simply transcribes its content to you iOS devices, which u could have your iPhone read out the text possibly, but I'm not sure how to get that going either. Either way I don't think you'd be happy with the cost and lack of features in this overpriced pen
