The camera has settings that allow for different ranges of view, so I would think that might be helpful for allowing participants to see what you want them to see. As far as your view of participants, I don't think there are any particular benefits. Their cameras will affect the quality of how they are seen by others. Hope this helps.

With the wide field of view, you will be able to get a large area, depending on how far away you are from the camera. The microphone is decent, but if you're going to be talking a lot, I would recommend an external microphone like a Blue Yeti/Snowball or a lapel mic. The participant's webcam would determine how well you can see them.
