Yes, you can get the audio from whatever source you would like too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not into the camera, but you can plug in a USB or analog mic and use the audio control panel to select which device to use for recording. You can use the built in Windows control panel, or usually there is a place to do that in your app, Skype, Camtasia...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. I personally use the G933's mic along with the camera from this webcam. However, you can use any mic of your choosing as long as you switch the default mic output to a different one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As others have already answered, the answer is NO, the webcam does not have an external mic input. But it is very easy to use another one. Think of this unit as an external box housing a separate microphone and video camera that appear separately in your PCs list of audio and video devices. PCs have "default" devices for mic and video. Installing this cam "may" reset those to this unit. I am not sure but it is not a problem. So, if you want to use a different mic, you can: 1. Tell your application, like Skype, to use your preferred device, not the PC's default (recommended method) It is generally advantageous to tell your application, like Skype, NOT to use the PC default but, rather, a specific device. To define the mic you want Skype to use, open its settings, go to Audio & Video, then select your mic from the drop-down list. 2. Change the PC's default mic (works but may have issues) Changing the PC's default affects all applications that are set to use the default. if that's OK, then do the following: Open the PC's audio mixer panel, go to the device list, scroll to your preferred mic (e.g., the Yeti), and click the button to make it the PC's default. Apple PCs have a similar applet to do this kind of thing. This is all much longer to explain then to do. Takes just 1-3 minutes. Hope that helps anyone who has the same kind of question. Have fun.
