The warranty may, but if you have the geek squad protection it will without a doubt. Check with the local store and see, they are usually good about helping and working with you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If it occurred during the warranty period AND you haven’t dropped the unit, then it might be considered a manufacturing defect and be covered. IF you dropped it, or otherwise damaged it yourself, then it probably won’t be covered.

I think it was caused by my "popping" the iPad out when removing rather than sliding it down and out. It could be sturdier in that area, but regardless, go get a new one. Don't even mess around with the Apple keyboard, you'll hate it after using this one.
