“I borrowed a cheap headset from a friend and has issues with a ground looping, where the mike just hiss all over the place and would stop when I touch the back panel of the case. Will this sort of thing happened to the more expensive headset or not? Thx”

The answer is no. But it's also yes. It completely depends on the headset. For all you know, you could've gotten a defective product, and someone else with the same product aren't experiencing any problems.
