I have had this headset for almost 3 years. I went through a number of headsets including turtle beach x12s that ended up snapping right after the 90 day warranty. I bought this headset purely for the 3yr manufacturer warranty after having so many problems with broken headsets (I didn't purchase the geek squad warranty on top of it). I did have the original pair I purchased in store start making a clicking noise by one of the ear cuffs after a few months so I submitted a ticket and with no issues the manufacturer sent me a new one and have had no problems with the second pair at all. The sound is solid, not as good as the x12s (less bass) but very good for the cost. I use a mic cover from the x12s just to insure no background noise since I usually have a large fan running, but even without it the recorded sound is very clear and does a decent job of blocking out background noise. The ear covers come off so you can clean them and hang them up to dry or very easily replace but I would limit how often you take them off so you do not stretch them out. Also because these covers are cloth and not leather they are not as noise canceling as most other headsets. Keep that in mind if that is a must have for you. You'll hear your mother yelling at you from the other room if you don't have the sound blaring. Sometimes the fabric can feel itchy after a while, mainly felt that way when I first started wearing them but not anymore. I don't have any issues with the weight or size of this headset. I used to game anywhere from 8 to 16hrs at a time with little to no discomfort. You can go one model up for the USB connect but I prefer the analog connect for more volume control and versatile use. The cord is covered in braided cloth so it doesn't tangle or damage easily and haven't had any shorts in the wires or on-cable controls yet. This is a very solid headset for the price. I just purchased a new one for a friend and hope she loves it as much as I do. Hope this helps some of you guys in the headset hunt. Good luck!

Great Headset For Them That Want The Real Deal

Ok Here we go I Love Plantronics Head sets and my last one that looked like this Logitech one lasted me 5 years or so before I had to finally trash it which broke my heart now I have owned Logitech and other brand Headsets before and they were ok but could not compete with Plantronics till now that is. I bought these due to there specs and looking like my old favorite Plantronics figuring I got 11 days if I don't like them ill take them back as my old Plantronics had spoiled me so I opened up the package set them on my head and was totally impressed as I thought I was wearing my old Plantronics. These match them totally in every way plus truth be told in the 2 tone Red with the Black and with the Red nylon rapped cord with the cool Black velcro rap cord tie looks totally awesome and its like a 7.5 or 8 feet long cord and has even a way cool and far better heavy duty mute and volume control in line than my Plantronics did and oh the sound and fit of the ear pads are perfect and comfortable as well and will let in a wee bit of outside noise which is perfect and the ear pads are made so you can even take them off and wash if need be lol and the padded headband also sit's on top of your head comfortable as well. The sound is awesome both when im on Skype or playing my games on or off line and there not even heavy there actually light on your head so BOTTOM LINE THIS HEADSET ROCKS ALL THE WAY ROUND and I tip my hat to Logitech as with this model they really have a quality headset indeed...A True Winner...Don't hesitate folks you wont regret it as its worth every cent .

OK i have went through many headsets sold directly in the bestbuy store, Razer Kraken pro, Razer Caecharias, and Steel series H3. Now the source is off my asus Xonar DGX sound card running on defaults, no EQ. The razer Kraken Pro's sound very muffled but have good bass, to some maybe to much, the Carcharias have a few design flaws, but once worked around you find the audio is actually very distant, making some sounds inaudible like footsteps and the bass made the speakers crackle, and lastly the steel series H3's, well they where way to small they are the size for toddler's ears, and the audio was a bit tinny, and had really no bass to them. Now these, the Logitech G230's, they are just so crisp and clear, even when using Dolby 7.1 headphone visualization on my xonar, I could hear every bit of sound, from distant footsteps to the dripping of water, which made these immersive, and these things are comfortable! Only thing that could be better is the bass, but! with a few tweaks using the EQ the bass coming from these things is just perfect, gives you nice crisp clean bass, where you hear that rumble but also feel the punch! The mic is even good as well, best i have used yet on a gaming headset! I recommend giving these a try, they will not disappoint!

I purchased this headset after reading and watching several reviews on this product and others like it. I was looking for a headset with strong bass and better than average mids and highs that wasn't wireless and didn't require external power. I was not disappointed by this product in any way. The sound is perfect for games and videos. Since I use these instead of speakers for my setup I couldn't be more please with the feel. The cups feel great and don't make you sweat, the headband cushion is super soft and does its job well. It fits me perfect, your mileage my vary but I have large ears and there is more than enough room to accamodate them. The noise attenuating mic works well enough for its purpose but like all the other gaming headsets the mic is a little flat and lacks individual tuning. If you're looking for pure mic quality use an omni or condenser, you'll be better served but that's only for those looking to record or stream, etc... I can't speak highly enough about this product, it plugs in it works, in 10 seconds you're enjoying large drivers in a comfortable package. 10/10 for its purpose.

Decided to jump up from my $19 cheap headset. After looking at the speaks and some reviews I decided to spend a little extra and grab this headset. Headband is reinforced with metal. The ear pads are comfortable and easy to wear for a long period of time. The sound is decent for this type of headset. Braided cord is nice and long. 6 months into using the headset, the plastic holding the ear pads to the headband broke on one side. The other side has cracks as well. Tried contacting Logitech support and had no response from my support email. Three months later I am trying again. The number they list on the website gives you a message stating they no longer support. You have to email. The plastic connector would be easy to replace if they offered a way to get them. For a $50 pair of headphones, these should have lasted longer. The product seemed to be built well. Weak point is where the speakers attach to the headband.

I got this headset because my other one broke. I looked for a comfortable fit and a long life. so far i have had this for about two months and it is fantastic. I have to wear a headset to not annoy my roommates with the amount of time I am on the computer. The only problems i have had with it so far is, it hurt my ear the first month or so, the headset is a bigger one so people with bigger heads can fit it much better, and the cord is really long but it is better than my last one that had a tiny cord. and these are not very detrimental and can be overlooked, like every headset you have to break it in. The upsides being, the quality of the mic and headphones are fantastic my friends and family notice a great increase in quality, it is comfortable after you break it in, and it cancels most if not all of the noise around you. TL:DR It is fantastic for the price and a novice headset but if you can spend the extra 20$ go for the step higher.

These headphones have a lot of reviews for being fragile and it is very easy to snap the ear pieces off. I have owned one pair for 2 years and after going strong i realized some of the wear and tear on them such as the wire was starting to develop bad spots from being run over by my office chair. I also finally made a hairline crack on the plastic piece that holds on the ear cup, nothing major but it proves that you need to be careful with them. For sound quality, it may not be comparable to headphones that cost hundreds of dollars but they have wonderful sound and are great for games. When you put them on they are very comfortable and feel like they actually fit over your ear and they block most sounds out. I didn't take the best care of these headphones but they will last a long time if they sit on a stand or are carefully placed away when not in use. I bought a second pair to replace the old ones, I definitely recommend these headphones for anybody
