The product specifications states it's a wired mouse.

It doesn't take batteries. I think that's a typo on the site.

As long as the mouse is plugged in to your computer, it should be no problem, I believe it's a rechargeable battery

With Moderate use it needs to be charged every other week. Charge time is very short. Charges in about 30min.

2 AA's and I use mone alot and only change the batteries every 4-6 months.
