Customers are saying

Customers praise the G303 Daedalus Apex Optical Gaming Mouse for its exceptional DPI options, ease of use, and precise sensor. Many appreciate the lightweight design, customizable RGB lighting, and the accurate tracking. However, some users find the mouse to be smaller than expected, and a few have reported issues with the durability of the left click button. The number of buttons is also a point of contention for some users.

    Euphoric mouse

Thanks to this mouse, the dankness level in my games increased tenfold. I can sleep at night knowing my mouse won't transform to fight the Decepticons. It also seriously makes a difference in grip between a scrub-level casual mouse and something euphoric as this. I tip my hat to how well it performs. Normally, clingy things are a huge problem, but I'm willing to let this one slide -- that's what mice do after all! :^) I got this mouse on a sale, and I find that at a pricing of $30-40, it is an absolute steal, especially having the chroma features. I can spend more of my money on dank meme merchandise instead. Overall, stellar.

I was a bit hesitant at first unboxing because of the narrow shape of the bottom of this mouse, but after using it for a day or so it doesn't feel strange to me. I've used palm and claw grip, and this seems to suit claw better. It's a comfortable mouse to use, and feels somewhat similar to the old G9 with the narrower case. The sensor itself is very good, with no noticeable drift. The software that is included lets you customize the mouse as much as you want, up to insane DPI. Nope, I'll stick to 800-1000, thanks. And the RGB control is neat. A bit flashy, but still neat. I would say it's a very worthy rival to one of my all time favorites, the Razer Deathadder. As for which is better would probably come down to personal preference on how the mouse feels in the hand.

At first glance, the mouse looked strange. But placing my hand on it for the first time, I felt that I was destined to pwn noobs in some of my favorite games like Counter Strike and League of Legends. This mouse has lived up to my expectations. I also have the Proteus, and here I will compare some of the qualities of each of them: Daedalus: + Super Light Weight + Satisfying Clicking + Great for fingertip grip + Easy to clean - Only 3 extra buttons Proteus: + Adjustable Weight + 6 extra buttons + Fits nicely in the hand + Modifyable scroll-wheel speed - Heavy by default Both have amazing precision, and the Logitech Gaming Software is best in its class. Try these mice in store before buying them. Then you won't have to buy both like me. Unfortunately, I am still undecided on which I like better, but I am currently using the Daedalus because of how light it is and how gracefully it moves across my mousepad.

This is a wonderful mouse especially when paired with the Logitech Gaming Software. It has the ability to be adjusted for Logitech Gaming mouse pads and the lighting is just a wonderful touch. It is very light and easy to make quick movements along with the 12,000 dpi. The ability to store onboard memory settings means you can transfer all your settings with your mouse and makes it a wonderful addition to any Gaming setup.

My Razer DeathAdder Chroma died on me again (what a surprise), and rather than resort to another Razer product, I decided to got with the G303 which features one of the best sensors in the market (minus the weight that the G502 has - same sensor but that mouse is like a brick). Can't really complain about the G303. PROS: Features one of the best optical sensors in the gaming mice market today. You get a premium sensor at an acceptable price. You'll definitely notice how good this sensor is once you actually game with it. Come to think of it, the sensor definitely lives up to the hype because I've never used another mouse (even with the 3310 sensors) that had such an accurate and responsive sensor such as this one. It's that good. I'm not even exaggerating. I was actually taken by surprise on how good the sensor reacted to my hand gestures and swipes during games. CONS: If there are any cons to this mouse, it's the build. It sure does feel plasticky and cheap. Also, your grip may or may not like the diamond shape to this mouse. The shape caters to my hybrid clawgrip perfectly. I have medium to small hands so this mouse is light and perfect for snap turns and aiming. It all depends on your preferences of course. And lastly, THAT CABLE that comes with the mouse is probably one of the thickest mouse cables I've ever owned. It's sturdy but so stiff and an obstacle that you'll be fighting not only the enemies in-game, but fighting the resistance the cable gives you as you swipe the mouse itself.

When I was shopping for a new gaming mouse, I compared the G303 versus the G502. In the end I went with the G303 for one, key reason: it has same image sensor as the G502 for half the cost. The shape was one that I didn't find uncomfortable (which some people have complained about and it is understandable) and I could deal with only have six, programmable buttons on the mouse (versus the 11 that is on the G502). The mouse has worked great for the games I have played (MMOs, FPSes, and ARPGs) and have found no fault with the device thus yet.

The mouse is excellent. High quality construction, light weight, one of the best sensors, easy and intuitive software but the shape is not too great for my hand at least. It's a very odd design that I doubt will work with the majority of people but I won't take away stars for that since it's a subjective thing.

This is my first gaming mouse, and I see no need for another. I play mainly FPS and it works just fine. You don't need any fancy buttons on the side, other than the two for convenience while surfing the web. The button right below the scrolling wheel is to change your DPI in game, in case you want to switch from a rifle to a pistol, or any change of class. Very simple, very effective. Plus, it has many different color settings; beautiful.

    Paired with G910 keyboard

I was looking for a gaming set for a new build and almost picked up the Corsair setup before relooking at Logitech (I also looked at multiple other brands). Was about to pull the trigger on the Corsair LED keyboard on BestBuy Black Friday sale when I almost missed the entire Logitech gaming line was on sale. I relooked at the G910 keyboard and read reviews on all the LED keyboards. I wanted the more silent keys (which BB carried on the Corsair). As I was looking at the keyboard, I wanted to pair a mouse but didn't want to go overboard with buttons. The recently released G303 was a perfect match. The higher resolution sensor along with a solid build was very attractive. Since purchase, I've been very happy with the mouse and would recommend it on its own, even if not matched with the keyboard. I went to the store to test this and other mice, and found it more than acceptable. I also considered wireless, but for price/performance, and that the keyboard was also wired anyway, that this was still my best option. I hear the software on Corsair is better, but I've been able to run several combos with the G303 and G910 to have different lighting sequences depending on normal use or game specific and generally gotten use to the Logitech software (a few software updates have made it slightly better).

This mouse is OK. It works as advertised but I personally do not care for the shape. The DPI can be adjusted with the software and the color selection/changes are really cool but I have had other mice that feel more natural. I frequently mis-click with this mouse and am developing soreness in my wrist since purchasing. I still give it 4 stars because it does work exactly as described and may work fine for others with smaller hands.

I have the logitech Proteus but I really like this mouse over the proteus because it is much lighter and more portable. The software that comes with it really allows you to personalize the mouse. I play a lot of league of legends and counter strike with this mouse. It is very comfortable in the hands and allows for multiple hours of gaming without hurting your wrist.s

With one of the best optics on the market it offers great tracking for gaming at a very low price. It is very light weight but for that you sacrifice some size. It works great if you use a claw grip or have medium to small hands.

Great for a certain types of grip

Before you even shop for a "Gaming" mouse you should first stop and think about what type of grip you use. There are 3 types: palm, claw, and fingertip (a quick Google search will show you which of the 3 you have). The thing that sets the G303 apart is its shape. It's almost diamond-shaped, with a very wide midsection that tapers down towards the back and front, to make almost a diamond-esque shape when looking from above. This shape is also why I personally love this mouse though. I'm a fingertip gripper, and that wide midsection is perfect for the angle at which I place my fingers. I would think claw-grippers would also have an easy time with this mouse, while it might be a little uncomfortable for palm-grippers. My advice is to try this mouse out at your local Best Buy before buying. Besides the shape, the specs of this mouse are great as well. As of this writing, it uses the best optical (optical is vital for precision gaming) sensor available on the market. It has a nice, low resistant buttons for the primary mouse buttons, and the side buttons feel very responsive as well. The mouse wheel has just the right amount of tension. There are a few criticisms to be had about this mouse. Unlike the G502, the plastic on this mouse starts developing finger-shine very quickly whereas my G502 has not developed any shine at all. The RGB lighting is a nice feature, but the white lighting (at least on my mouse) is very dim and has a very heavy blue tinge to it. And finally, there are no mouse buttons on the right side of the mouse for left-handed users, which is extremely odd if you consider the fact that this mouse is symmetrical otherwise. All in all, it's a great mouse for fingertip-grippers. It's sturdy, has a fantastic sensor, is relatively low cost, and has RGB lighting as a kicker. I have no regrets buying this mouse.

It is the right size for most average hands unlike most gaming mice. I really like being able to adjust the DPI setting on the fly with the press of a button as it makes it easier to go lower for graphics work and then much higher resolution on the mouse accuracy for games. It doesn't have but just a few programmable buttons on it, but I honestly wouldn't have used more than this has anyway. The software to control the lighting effects is touchy and didn't work with my windows 10 immediately. I ended up having to create a batch file to kick off the mouse software when windows starts because for some reason, it doesn't seem to want to do it even with the option checked to do so. I also had to set the executable of the mouse software to always run as Admin. Still minor issues aside it has been very solid and does exactly what I need it to do.

I previously purchased a Logitech G502, which sports a larger grip and several additional programmable buttons, but quickly found that the thumb button strongly interfered with the tight grip that first person shooters (a favorite genre of mine) demand. The G303 is much lighter and allows my hand to sit in the best position for quick movement and twitch reactions. It may not suit palm grip users, but for me, it works perfectly. The LED lights are a nice feature to be able to control as well, and the scroll wheel is responsive and soft but durable.
