• You mean the microphone? Yes, you can right click on the little audio icon next to your clock and click on "recording devices". Find the microphone labeled "G430" and right click and select disable. That will disable the microphone from use, but it's very simple to turn it back on, so hopefully your child won't know how it works... oooor you can just break the microphone off :)

• You can disable the recording/mic feature in the sound settings itself. If using windows at least.
