No you certainly can not save macros to onboard memory. Also Logitech loves to create support tickets and the ghost you.

After you've downloaded and installed it, it'll attempt to update all your Logitech G series hardware currently connected (must be connected via the included USB cable). After that, "Meet" your devices. After your introduction, you'll be taken to a screen that looks something like the included pictures. On the left-hand side of the screen, click the box with the plus sign ([ + ]), where it will show assignments. There, you can assign keyboard shortcuts, remap keys, etc.

If you haven't already, you'll want to download our G Hub software here https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/innovation/g-hub.html. This will allow you to customize your keyboard. From the main G Hub screen, you'll want to click on your G915. Then go to Assignments (plus plus sign in the square on the left side) - Macros - search for the macro you'd like to set - assign to your G keys!
