That is a good question, but that is what you have to do to make it work. You have to connect it to your computer and then go to their website and it guides you through the set it up process. You have to put in the model number of everyone of your devices that you want it to control. I’m not too sure if it will work using a cellphone, but it may. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As I understand it, Logitech maintains an extensive database of codes for over 270,000 electronic devices and is continually updating it. To program the remote control, it is connected through a computer over the internet to access the particular codes for the devices you select. To include the codes for all the devices supported they would probably have to include a CD or DVD with the remotes with all the information, which would then make the device more expensive, and the information would be incomplete by the time you received it because new equipment is being continually introduced.
