• I can't guarantee it, but it works with a whole lot of devices. I've got some devices that are over 15yrs old that it has in it's library and controls as expected. So I would think it would be a safe bet that it would control a Samsung DVD player. It controls my Samsung TVs just fine.

• It worked with my old DVD player just fine. I put in the brand and number and it set right up. Can't imagine yours wouldn't do the same. Mine is old.
