Hello Stephonick. During the set up process for the 665, you will be asked which device will control the volume. You can specify here which device you want the remote to communicate with when using the volume buttons.

Please try again later.When programming the remote on the computer you can set it up to behave how you would like, however I have not tried to use the remote in that manner as I don’t use my soundbar often, however when you setup a type of macro function, I don’t remember if you are able to paste certain functions from one device to function within another device like a true home theater style remote control, this one may not be that sophisticated to handle that type of functionality. Again I didn’t really spend a lot of time setting up the remote control, and kept things a little basic.
