I have used a Harmony Remote since about 1995. Over those years, I have purchased one additional remote when the first one wore out in 2020. I have 7 devices operating through my AV receiver, so I just had the Geek Squad come to my house to program it for all 7 of those devices (record turntable, two cassette tape players, two CD players, a PAL format DVD player, and a BluRay player). My receiver runs my surround sound system. The Harmony interacts with my receiver. Without the Harmony, I would have to use 7 remotes for the devices and one for the receiver. I recently purchased a new Denon receiver, and when the Geek Squad was hooking up all my devices and re-program my Harmony, the agent told me that Logitech has discontinued this remote. She couldn't understand why Logitech did that because they were so popular! She said there are still some around, and when GS agents see one in the warehouse, they put them in their van so that they can have them available for customers who want one. In fact, she had one left in her van. In the last couple of weeks, she had sold the other 4 and only had this one left. Even though I did not need one right now, I bought it from her. I never want to be without one again. While she was here, she programmed that one as well to my new receiver. No doubt, I have told you more than you wanted to know and not really answered your question. I only shop at Best Buy, and if you can locate one of them at a Best Buy store, I would recommend that you have Geek Squad come to your house to program it. If they can't hook those items up for you, it can be returned to Best Buy for a refund. I don't think you would be charged for the home visit since they could not make it work to your satisfaction.
