• We have a DirecTV Genie and it controls everything we need. Haven't needed the DirecTV remote for anything.

• Yes, this remote will control the direct tv genie. I use it with my DirecTV and have never had any problems.

• It will control all and you can get it to work or Logitech will do it for you. It is awesome
