• Yes it will work on your LG TV, and you don’t need the old remote for setup, just the model number of the TV. However I would stay away from this if replacing your old TV remote is the only need.

• Go to the Logitech Harmony support website and enter in the exact make and model number: https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/compatibility If they have the device in the database, you will not need the original remote because they have a record of the remote codes. That's a main advantage of the entire product line.
