• That would be a matter of gpa's home network. Connect to his network and you can control everything you want. Lights, door locks, TV ect...

• Good question, the way I have it set up, is with Amazon echo. If he can put you on speaker, you might be able to say "Alexa, turn on TV". Alexa would then give the command to the Harmony hub. Does require set up for both to communicate with each other. Hope it helps.
