One of the components of my TV works off WiFi so I'm assuming so, but you're talking to the most technologically impaired person, evah! That's why they have Geek Squad. (ha-ha_)

Please try again later.The remote and hub can connect with each other over wi-fi, However, as far as I know, it only allows the remote (and phone app) to communicate with the hub, which then sends IR signals to the devices. This allows you to control the hub (and devices it controls) even if your remote is not pointed at your equipment or even in the same room. It doesn't allow the remote to directly communicate with any other devices over wi-fi,

A lot of USB cables, especially the thin ones are not made for full functionality. The easiest answer is to make sure you keep track of the original cable.
