This is primarily an IR remote, but with the Hub and Wifi many "connected home" devices are compatible, from light switches to door locks. Go to https://www.myharmony.com/en-us/ and select "Compatibility" to see if your specific appliance can be controlled by the Harmony remote. I am always surprised by how many things it can control.
