• The M510 goes to sleep at about 10 -15 mins and wakes up by moving or shaking it.

• I believe it goes to sleep but I turn mine off when not in use just to be sure.

• You have to turn it off, that being said I leave it on 24/7 and replace my battery once every 6 months at the most.
