If your BIOS has settings to enable a USB mouse and keyboard you may want to enable these to allow the BIOS to recognize these devices as well as wired devices for setting BIOS values. My older desktop needed this setting changed since it expected a wired keyboard and mouse. My newer Laptop and probably most newer desktop systems will not have or need the setting changed. YMMV
