I think you can pair it with another dongle because it is part of that unifying technology stuff. So that you can use the same mouse and keyboard with multiple systems.

I then have that reliever linked to a mouse and keyboard at work, one in my bag, and one at home. In addition the one mouse at home links to any of my laptops or my desktop! I love the flexibility it provides.
