Yes, you don't have to use the mouse if you don't want. I sometimes use the keyboard with just the trackpad on my laptop if I don't have the desk space to use both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks, but let me edit my question. I know it wouldn't work "with" my other mouse. The mouse I have has it's own route. I just want to be able to use the keyboard without the mouse that comes with it. I hope that makes better sense.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe that you can use the keyboard without the mouse because of the dongle that comes with the package. The dongle may be paired with both devices, and whatever frequency it uses may not transfer to your current mouse. I will say that using this keyboard and mouse has been really easy and enjoyable. My hands are average sized and the keyboard fits really well, and the setup was extremely simple. I inserted the batteries, connected the dongle to the computer and everything worked without a problem. I would definitely recommend the keyboard and mouse.
