We have not found a plug in. Our assumption is to follow the guidelines that the battery life is 4 yrs and then at point, replacement of battery or entire keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This keyboard case does not get charged. It has watch batteries that last a long time. You can replace them, I believe they last about 6 months.

Because I bought both the iPad and the folio cover at the same time, I asked Best Buy to install mine and they also sync'ed the keyboard to the iPad before I left the store. When you plug in your iPad to charge it, you are also charging the folio cover keyboard. If you look in the upper right hand corner of the folio keyboard, when you open the iPad to set it up for use, you will see a little light come on when the iPad snaps down onto the magnetic strip of the cover. That little light will be either green indicating a full charge or it will be flashing blue which means that you are somewhere less than fully charged. Mine has not gone below blinking blue light as it will recharge back to green whenever I close the iPad and plug it in and I haven't had the opportunity to use the iPad for more than a half hour to an hour at a time since I bought it. [Too busy with other toys] I hope this helps answer your question, if your cover does not have a light come on when you open up your iPad, it probably has not been sync'ed to the iPad yet. But, that is another problem for you to solve ......
