“Does this keyboard case put the iPad Air to sleep when closed and wake when opened?”

• Yes. It is magnetic. When it attaches to the screen (for storing), it puts the iPad Air to sleep. Wakes up when you detach it and set it up.

• I don't know about the IPad Air, but it does put the IPad mini to sleep when closed.
