Hello, you are able to use two of these devices if they are out of range from each other, 33ft. YOu would not be able to rename the adapters.

When first setting up, be sure to turn off Bluetooth transmitting on the devices you are not connecting. After you pair the first device to the first receiver, turn off that Bluetooth receiver and turn off Bluetooth on your transmitting device, then pair the next one. I don't know if they can be renamed, but in my experience, generally not.
