This is a Bluetooth receiver not transmitter. I don’t think this device will help you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(From a user, not from a BestBuy rep) The TV has NO other audio output, except optical? Your headphones are wireless, but not Bluetooth? Seems strange that the TV would have nothing but optical output, generally, I'd think there would at least be an HDMI (ARC) that can also serve as an output - but you need to know what wireless technology the phones use. If it is some odd, proprietary tech, you're probably not going to find an off-the-shelf solution. There's probably not a lot of demand for converting optical output to whatever as yet unknown wireless format your phones use - and where there is little demand, there is no commercial benefit in developing a product to bridge them. You probably need to RTFM (read the fine manual) to make sure the TV supports bluetooth output and then buy some bluetooth phones. If it supports bluetooth output, this will certainly be much easier and cheaper than trying to come up with a solution to use the non-Bluetooth phones. It appears from the online manual that I am looking at, the Series 8 tvs do support Bluetooth output for speakers and phones.
