“Can I replace the receiver with one that is 4k compatible?”

• The system is designed for computers. The sub woofer is also the amplifier. There is no hdmi input. You would be better of with a 4k receiver and speakers designed for that

• I'm not sure. I guess it depends on if you're using it through your computer or through something else. If you are using it on your computer and the computer is 4k compatible, it will play through the speakers. However, I don't know if this is true 4K compatibility. I wish I had a better answer for you. I only use this on my computer. I have separate systems for my televisions.
