I experienced the same problem with Zone 750 headset initially. But soon I figured that it wasn't actually a glitch, but rather a smart feature. The microphone is automatically switched to mute when the mic boom is rotated to an upright position - aligned with the head. And the mute will be automatically turned off when the boom is brought closer to the mouth, i.e. speaking position. Unmuting the mike is not possible if the arm is in an upright position. If the problem still persists, fortunately the Zone 750 does have a 1 year limited hardware warranty.
