Mic can be muted in upright / closed position.

Yes, just raise the mic to the vertical position

Yes. You just simply lift the microphone boom back into the headphone. Or, there is a button you can press on the boom itself.

Yes. Flipping the mic up mutes it and flipping it down unmutes it. It will speak thru the headset as it turns mute on and off.
