• Yes you need internet connection and you have to configure all setting. I did it since I am IT professional

• Hello, Yes, you will need a high speed internet connection where the DVR is located (with a minimum upload speed of 1 MBPS), DSL or Cable (and a modem and router), to use the remote viewing option with the DVR. Thanks
