Each camera comes with a 6V power adapter which will need to be plugged into a nearby electrical outlet. Most of our cameras require this type of electricity as it is more reliable than just a battery. If using a battery operated camera you will need to access the camera often to recharge it. The Flir FX camera has both power adapter and battery options. The antenna is for the signal to reach the receiver and the receiver can record manually, continuously or when motion is detected.
