Yes, it will go off, unless you put the camera on a battery backup. The LCD screen has a battery backup in it, but the camera transmitter does not.

One option would be to look into 3rd party UPS (uninterruptible power supply) which are emergency power units you can connect into your electrical outlet, then connect the camera or monitor into the UPS. The UPS would hold a battery charge for a period of time, and if you are using this you would need one for the monitor and one for each camera to keep power in the event of a power outage. You can purchase an uninterruptable power supply to provide temporary battery backup to devices during outages. Keep in mind that if a camera is using its infrared sensors during the outage, it will draw considerably more power than it will during full light recording.
