It would take the edge off the heat nicely. It's probably best suited for 250-350 sq ft rooms and it has a decently powered fan and "swing" function that spreads out the airflow. I'm using mine in a 300 sq ft room with mostly windows and doors and it's able to take the room from 90 to 80 degrees ambient and if it's blowing on you it feels nice and cool. The remote is a nice bonus and you can supplement their ice packs with real ice for highest impact cooling. The unit is a bit "tippy", maybe not recommended around active kids/pets.
